In this post we’ve tried to gather the best restaurant mockups (at least in our opinion). As graphic design professionals, we know it’s very common to come across projects related to the restaurant industry. Carrying out a restaurant branding project isn’t easy, because when you design the identity of a business like this you have to think about how the brand will be applied to lots of different supports. These are some of the most common:
- Exterior signage
- Menu design
- Placemats and tablecloths
- Napkins
- Mugs and cups
- Coasters
- Takeaway packaging
- Advertising displays (print and digital)
- Bottles
- And many more (the possibilities are endless)
That’s why we wanted to put together a complete list of restaurant mockups in this article, so you can create attractive presentations for your clients and make your life a little easier. We believe that carefully choosing the mockups you present to a client often makes all the difference. In this post we’ve gathered the restaurant and cafe mockups we found most interesting.
As always, all the resources we publish on mockupgratis.com are designed by us and completely royalty-free for both personal and professional use. Want to see what we’ve prepared for you? Keep reading and let’s get started!
Restaurant mockups: a list of free PSD templates
These are some of the resources we’ve prepared for this article. They’re PSD files that are easy to edit in Adobe Photoshop or any compatible software. To use them, just click the one you like and hit the download button. Once downloaded, unzip the .zip file, open it and replace the content of the smart object in the Layers panel. Let’s go!
If you’re enjoying this list of restaurant mockups and want to support us, remember you can help us with a small donation and do your bit so mockupgratis.com can keep sharing free resources for many years. Something symbolic, like the price of a coffee, can be a huge help.
Coaster mockup

With this mockup you can show how your restaurant’s brand would look on a round coaster. It’s a photo-based resource, very easy to use and customize. A blur effect has been applied to the smart object for a more realistic look.
Restaurant menu with a clip

A very elegant way to present a menu design: an A4 menu held by a clip on a rectangular board. The design is shown in front view on a minimalist background. To edit it, just open it in Adobe Photoshop and paste your design, replacing the content of the smart object in the Layers panel.
Sugar packet

Another very interesting resource for this list of restaurant mockups. A simple, photorealistic mockup of a sugar packet floating on a clean, simple background. You can edit the whole design by clicking the smart object. Very useful for showing how a logo would look on one of the most common supports when applying a restaurant’s visual identity.
Paper napkins

Another very common item in restaurants is the logo printed on paper napkins, often along with a message for customers. With this mockup you can edit the two napkins independently. We’re sure you’ll find it very useful!
Coffee cup

A Photoshop template built from a photo of a cup seen from the front on a wooden table. The composition is great for placing your logo, with a fantastic result that will surely win your clients over.
Wooden exterior sign

Don’t neglect the image a restaurant projects from the outside: it’s essential for catching passers-by and inviting them in. A common choice is using wood for signage, for a very natural and elegant vintage effect. With this mockup you can paste your logo as white 3D letters on a wooden background.
Takeaway coffee cup

Our busy lives have turned takeaway cups into an excellent canvas where we can unleash our creativity and apply a brand’s visual universe in very original ways. This mockup is built from a cut-out photo on a plain, simple background that will surely come in handy for your presentations.
Olive oil bottle

Many restaurants keep an oil bottle on every table for customers. Why not use it to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the brand? A simple (but very useful) resource of a beautiful oil bottle that stands out in this front view on a clean, simple background.
“Reserved” sign

An elegant touch, also very common in some restaurants, is applying the brand to the cards used to reserve tables. We’ve prepared this mockup on an elegant leather card, simulating an embossed effect that works really well for placing your logo.
Digital menu display

More and more restaurants, especially in the fast food sector, use screens to show prices and offers to customers. Very useful for restaurants that want to keep prices up to date, announce offers and news, and give their brand more presence. With this resource you can edit the content of the two screens independently, using the smart objects you’ll find when you open the PSD file.
Outdoor restaurant sign

The outside of a restaurant can be a great place to announce offers and promotions. This photo-based mockup shows a sign in front view where you can easily edit the sign’s content and the text on the frame.
Sugar packets (two units)

As we mentioned before, sugar packets are a great way to let your imagination run wild while applying a brand’s universe. This mockup is built directly on a photo of two sugar packets on a wooden table and will really help you improve your branding and identity presentations.
Long menu (two units)

A mockup of a long menu held by a clip on a wooden board. It’s a very common practice in restaurants, since the menus can be easily updated and printing costs drop considerably. Suggest it to your clients!
Coffee cup on wood

A close-up of a white coffee cup on a wooden texture. The lighting effects give this mockup a very realistic look that we’re sure will greatly improve your brand presentations. As always, download this restaurant mockup with the button on its page, unzip the .zip file and open the .psd inside.
Paper bag

More and more restaurants are adding delivery to their business model. Customizing the bags and packaging a restaurant uses can be very useful for promoting offers. Here’s a mockup of a (slightly crumpled) bag on a plain, clean background, very easy to customize and with a very realistic result. Another really useful restaurant mockup.
Wine bottle

If there’s one support where designers have always let their creativity run free, it’s wine bottles. With this mockup you can customize the label with your design and see how your brand would look on a custom wine bottle. Download it for free with the button on its page and unzip the file to get started. We hope you like it!
Takeaway burger box

This is one of the most successful restaurant mockups on the site lately. It’s built from a high-resolution photo of a takeaway burger box. The best thing about this mockup is that you can fully customize it, editing each side of the cardboard box independently. And best of all, it’s completely free! (big surprise, huh?)
Ice cream cup

A fun, refreshing mockup of a cardboard ice cream cup, built from a photograph. Especially useful if you’re working on the branding of an ice cream shop. Download the file with the button on its page and replace the content of the smart object to apply your design.
Exterior wall sign

Another great option for placing your logo on exterior signage, built from a photograph. An excellent way to give your brand visibility that will look great in your presentations.
Takeaway coffee

Finally, here’s one more mockup for placing your design on a takeaway coffee cup. It’s built from a cut-out photo on a clean, plain background, letting you edit the whole cup with a realistic and really attractive result. Remember to replace the content of the smart object in the Adobe Photoshop Layers panel.
Coffee shop mockups
Coffee shops have their own pieces: the takeaway cup, the mug, sugar packets or the menu. Above you already have the coffee cup, the sugar packets and two takeaway cups. Here are a few more mockups designed to present the brand of a cafe, a coffee shop or a bakery with a counter.
Paper coffee cup

A close-up of a paper cup that lets you show how a coffee shop’s logo looks on the format you see most on the street. It works both for the shop’s own cup and for more elaborate packaging designs. Get it from the paper coffee cup mockup page.
Disposable paper cup

Another takeaway cup, this one with a blur effect that gives it a very natural feel. It works well for coffee shops, juice bars or any place with takeaway service. Download it from the paper cup mockup page.
Floating white mug

A white mug on a plain background with no distractions, where you can also change the background color. A good option for showing the cafe’s tableware or the branded mugs it sells. You’ll find it in the white mug mockup.
Customizable mug

A simple mug where you can edit the design and the background color. Very useful if the coffee shop wants to sell mugs with its logo or give them to regular customers. Download it from the customizable mug mockup page.
Drink mockups for the menu
If the restaurant has its own house wine, craft beer or branded water, those bottles are also part of its image. These mockups help you present drink labels and containers within the same project.
Wine bottle with label

A second wine bottle, built from a photograph, to show the label design with a very realistic result. If the restaurant has its own wine, this is where to show it. Download it from the wine bottle with label mockup page.
Beer bottle

A beer bottle where you can change the label and the cap color. Ideal for breweries, bars or craft beer brands. Get it from the beer bottle mockup.
Soda can

A can built from a high-resolution render, with a smart object for your design. Useful for burger joints and fast food places with their own drinks. Download it from the soda can mockup page.
Water bottle

A clear water bottle where you can customize the label and the cap color. More and more restaurants serve water with their own brand, and this mockup is perfect for showing it. You’ll find it in the water bottle mockup.
